Following the announcement of award winners at the 2020 Pitcher Festival of Creativity, KreativeKlub brings together the brains behind some of these great ideas to discuss their work first hand. Pitcher Awards is open to work created or implemented in Africa and is judged by leading professionals in the region giving African creatives the opportunity to present the authentic stories of Africa to the world.
Yet, Africa is so diverse that it has to be a hard task coming up with a universally acceptable definition for the African story. However, as in the proverbial story of the hunter and the lion, until the lion learns to write, the hunter will always be the hero. In this special edition of Soapbox by KreativeKlub, top winners of the 2020 Pitcher Awards from different parts of Africa, will discuss the insights, results and back stories of their work as well as lead the conversation on how African creativity can take its rightful place on the world stage.
